AMPt Feature Jedi: Tyson Wheatley @twheat
I’m fortunate to live in a very photogenic city. Hong Kong provides near constant inspiration, often in my daily routine. I snapped this image on my walk home from work on Java Road in North Point
Process:
I’m a creature of habit. My go-to editing apps are Snapseed, Filterstorm, Picfx and VSCOcam. I often interchange and/or combine depending on my mood mostlyThis image is a pretty straightforward edit. I used the native iPhone4s camera without the HDR. First stop was VSCOcam because I’m currently obsessed with it. It does such a fantastic job of processing color. Anyway, I square cropped it, then applied Fade and Temperature, both at setting one. Then saved. Next stop was Snapseed, where I adjusting the lighting and contrast slightly, and added a touch of Drama at 27%. Save. Last stop was Picfx, where I applied the Warm and Enhance filters, but only a smidgen
Bio:
I’m an American news editor living in Hong Kong for a year and a half. I co-founded a group of HK-based Instagram enthusiasts called HK Instayay. We host monthly photowalks and Instameets. I curated my first exhibition of Hong Kong iPhone photography in April and hope to do another soon.
